Remember the example from course 1: you pay a car seller $100 to hold the price for you for a month. An option on a stock works the same way.
- Call — the right to buy. Put — the right to sell.
- Strike price — the price at which you’ll be able to buy or sell.
- Premium — what you pay for the right up front.
- Expiry — the last day the right is valid.
