The three patterns you'll meet most often:
- Doji — almost no body: the price closed where it opened. A draw between buyers and sellers.
- Hammer — a small body at the top and a long lower wick. The price was pushed down, but buyers brought it back up.
- Engulfing — a big candle of the opposite color completely covers the body of the one before. One side suddenly took over.
