- Double top — the price hit the same resistance twice and couldn't get through. Buyers seem to be running out of steam. Its mirror image is a double bottom at support.
- Triangle — the swings get narrower, the highs and lows close in on each other. The price is squeezing before it breaks out, but which way is unknown in advance.
