What it is
A currency pair — the price of one currency in terms of another: how many Swedish kronor one US dollar buys. Sweden is in the EU but not in the euro zone, and the krona largely follows the euro. The rate depends on Riksbank (Sweden’s central bank) and Federal Reserve rates, the European economy and investors’ overall appetite for risk. The market is smaller than for the major pairs. The currency market runs around the clock from Sunday evening to Friday evening; it is closed at weekends.
